Meetings

The Forum is steered by a Committee, which meets every six weeks, with Members� meetings occurring four times a year. The Committee has meetings with Councillors and Officers of both the County and City Councils and has gained recognition as a body serving an essential function within the estate. In addition membership provides a useful platform for new contacts, the building of new relationships and assists in the marketing of individual businesses.

Forthcoming meetings:

Friday, 26th February 2010 is the date of the Annual General Meeting of the Sowton Forum This meeting is being held at the Met Office, Fitzroy Road, Exeter, starting at noon, followed by a light lunch.

 The purpose of the meeting is to advise all interested parties of the work of the Sowton Forum, and inform you about future developments which may be occurring, and their potential impact on the businesses operating in and around Sowton. It is an opportunity for you as a Business Owner or Senior Manager to communicate your thoughts and concerns to the members of the Executive Committee and other interested parties.

In addition to the normal business of an Annual General Meeting, the Executive Committee shall be putting forward the recommendation that the Sowton Forum merges with the Sowton Transport Management Association, to give one voice of business to other stakeholders in our community.
